We carried out substation installation for Bowker Blackburn BMW, ensuring efficient and smooth operation to effectively meet our client’s requirements.
Overview
Smart Group, on behalf of BMW Bowker, required the installation of a substation to power multiple EV chargers within the BMW dealership. The aim was to support the charging of their growing stock of electric vehicles.
Solution
Serconnect installed the substation and associated equipment as part of our Option 2 status as Independent Connection Providers. This meant that we could handle the final connection and operational duties without relying on the DNO. This approach significantly improved efficiency by eliminating the need to wait for DNO timescales and availability.
Outcome
The project was completed according to the scheduled dates outlined in the program. We successfully energised the substation on the agreed date, meeting the client’s requirements. Our ability to carry out the project as an option 2 ICP ensured that the installation process was smooth and efficient, allowing BMW Bowker to begin using their electric vehicle charging hub without unnecessary delays.
