For InstaVolt and Stokers Furniture in Chester, Serconnect delivered a full turnkey HV and LV infrastructure package, including the construction of a 1MVA X-Type package substation to support 12 ultra-rapid 160kW EV chargers. The project represented an important milestone for InstaVolt as its first scheme to be delivered using an X-Type package substation through an ICP partner.
Overview
InstaVolt required a high-capacity electrical infrastructure solution to support the installation of 12 ultra-rapid 160kW EV chargers at Stokers Furniture in Chester.
Serconnect was appointed to deliver the HV and LV infrastructure for the site, including the construction and installation of a new 1MVA X-Type package substation.
As the first X-Type package substation scheme delivered by InstaVolt through an ICP partner, the project involved close coordination between InstaVolt, the DNO, IDNO and wider project stakeholders.
The technically complex scheme required a collaborative and solutions-focused approach throughout the design, approval and construction phases, with Serconnect working closely with all parties to maintain progress and ensure the project remained on programme.
