Jon Farrer
Management Accountant
Jon brings a unique blend of legal and financial expertise to the Serconnect team, having graduated with a degree in Law and Accounting. With a career in accounts and finance starting at age 23, Jon has built a solid foundation through various roles, including time at Booths Supermarkets, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, SPAR, and Preston College.
At Serconnect, Jon’s day-to-day responsibilities are many, including cashflow forecasting, preparing management accounts, handling VAT returns, and managing payroll—ensuring the financial side of the business runs smoothly and efficiently. He also works closely with budget holders and key stakeholders, developing policies and procedures that align with the goals of the business.
Outside of work, Jon is a dedicated dad of two, often found playing the role of weekend taxi driver. When he’s not busy with family, he enjoys playing golf, playing his guitar and catching as many live gigs as possible.
