Sam Plummer
Projects Director
Sam joined the electricity industry in 2010 as a Distribution and Transmission Apprentice Electrical Fitter with Electricity Northwest. After completing his apprenticeship in 2013, he worked as a Fitter, gaining hands-on experience in distribution maintenance and construction. During this time, Sam also earned his HNC in Electrical Engineering. In 2018, he advanced to an Engineering role, where he trained for his 11kV AP and SAP certifications. He spent the remainder of his time at ENWL as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP), focusing on maintenance, asset replacement, and fault management.
Now at Serconnect, Sam takes on the role of 11kV SAP and Project Director, leading EV infrastructure projects for some of the UK’s leading Charge Point Operators. In addition to overseeing maintenance, faults, and construction on IDNO and private HV networks, Sam also mentors junior project managers, helping to guide the next generation of talent.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys playing golf and pool, boxing, and socialising with friends.
